The 125 mile race would go green till lap 19 just shy of when drivers would have had to make green flag pit stops. The race would go back green on lap 22 which if the race had gone green would set up an exciting finish as the drivers would be short on fuel.

The race went back green on lap 36 setting up a 14 lap run to the end. The last 14 laps were exciting as the field raced two by two as the checkers came closer and closer. The race would see its final yellow on lap 44 for a wreck in the back of the field.
