(SOUTH BOSTON, VA) Four weeks ago Jared Mogard took the checkered flag in the opening round of the ASRS Skeeber Flob’s Kettle Corn Pro Series at Richmond International Raceway. This week he completed the sweep of the Virginia tracks, taking the checkered flag at South Boston Speedway.
For the first time since returning to action in late September, the Skeeber Flob’s Kettle Corn Pro Series headed to a true bullring, the 4/10 mile South Boston Speedway.
Twenty drivers headed to the track for the third race of the 2016 season. Mogard set the pace in qualifying and showed the way for 124 of the 125 laps, only giving up the lead once to Stephen Pearce. The race featured seven caution flags.
Mogard was able to cruise to victory followed by Allan Young in second, Jonathan Holstein third, Scott Haller and Stephen Pearce rounded out the top five.
The Skeeber Flob’s Kettle Corn Pro Series is off until November 16th, when the drivers head to Homestead-Miami Speedway.
Mogard holds a comfortable 27 point lead in the championship over Collin Penn.
