(CLEVELAND, OH) The American E-Sports Association announced the 2020 Development Series schedules and series details.

The Grand National Series and Truck Series will each occupy 20 Wednesday night slots, opposite weeks from January to November. Each series schedule features 20 venues handpicked to provide the closest competition, cleanest racing and most fun for drivers.

The Grand National Series, based on the NASCAR Xfinity Series, will compete at the traditional venues for that series including Daytona, Richmond, Bristol, Darlington and Charlotte while also featuring four road course races (Watkins Glen, Mid-Ohio, Road America and the Charlotte Roval). 2020 ASRS Grand National Series Schedule

The Truck Series, based on the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series, will compete on traditional truck series tracks like Gateway Motorsports Park, Martinsville Speedway, Eldora Speedway and will feature three races at historical NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series tracks with races at Rockingham Speedway, The Milwaukee Mile and South Boston Speedway.  2020 ASRS Truck Series Schedule

A five race “Chase for the Championship” format which will consist of ten drivers competing over the final five races of the season to be crowned champion will be in place in both series. The “Chase for the Championship” will be a throwback to the original NASCAR Chase for the Cup format, the same format that was used to crown champions in the ASRS Truck Series from the inaugural season of 2005 until elimination rounds were introduced in 2017.

Both series will feature the tire limit rule instituted in 2019 for the Home Tracks Series, with one tire change permitted in each race. Along with the limit on tires will be limits on Premier Series drivers, any driver with three or more wins in 2018, 2019 or 2020 or any combination of the three will be restricted from entry into the series, for drivers with broken membership, the last three seasons competed will be used to determine eligibility. Additionally, a 5000 iRating cap will remain for drivers in the Grand National and Truck Series. Any current or former Pro Series drivers are also restricted from competing in the Development Series.
