(CLEVELAND, OH) Officials with the American Sim Racing Series confirmed today that a new broadcaster will be selected to carry ASRS Sam Maxwell Customs Truck Series and Premier Cup Series races in 2019, after a year split between Prime Time Racing TV and Live Sim Racing TV, which absorbed the Prime Time Racing TV events earlier in the year.
“We worked out a plan in May and the ever-changing landscape over at LSRTV has led us to conclude that we will not be working together beyond this year” stated ASRS Owner Jim Foose. “It wasn’t a matter of cost, I have the cash in hand to do it for 2019. I’ve got 41 races to have broadcasted in 2019, this isn’t chump change we’re dealing with”.
The ASRS/LSRtv relationship began in 2014 as a one-off deal to broadcast the All American 400 Super Late Model event and came back into existence earlier in 2018 when PTRTV merged into LSRtv.
“We have several bids out there and are still taking bids for our 41 race broadcast package in 2019 that includes the best truck and Cup car racing on the service” stated Foose. “We are looking for the right fit for our league and for a broadcaster willing to put on top quality broadcast on a weekly basis”.
