(MANSFIELD, OH) The weather is warming up outside and so is the action of the ASRS Home Tracks Series including the next chapter in the dirt portion of the Wednesday night series.
The dirt late models will return to action with the 358 cubic inch Pro Late Models hitting the track for the summer months. This time around the Home Tracks Dirt Racing Series will focus on one event per race night. The Pro Late Models will run a full program of hotlaps, heat races, consolation races and a 30 lap main event each night (iRacing UI permitting).
The schedule is not set in stone yet as ASRS President Jim Foose described the issue with scheduling dirt races this far in advance; “We don’t know if we should be expecting another dirt track to be added to the service in the June build or not, there’s been some rumblings that Kokomo would be out this summer and it would make sense to us as it won that poll last summer, so we have a tentative schedule that will be put out with a TBA or two on it in the coming weeks”.
The Summer Home Tracks Series will add an event with the NASCAR Truck Series race at Bristol moving away from it’s traditional Wednesday night slot opening the door for ASRS to host a race that night (it’s been a longstanding tradition to not host races against live NASCAR events).
