The American Sim Racing Series and Sam Maxwell Customs have announced an award for the 2018 season that will reward drivers who compete in and complete the most events.

As part of the Ironman Challenge, drivers will earn points by completing miles (1 mile=1 point) in any ASRS sanctioned points paying event.  Events such as the All American 400, December Dirt Week, All Star Race and qualifying races will not count towards a driver’s total miles driven.

Sam Maxwell Customs will provide the driver completing the most miles with a one year iRacing.com Motorsport Simulation subscription (valued at $110).

“Sam wanted to provide a prize for someone who competes in as many ASRS races as possible during the calendar year and this award not only promotes competing in all the races, but also in rewarding drivers who complete races competitively” stated ASRS President Jim Foose.  “The Sam Maxwell Customs Ironman adds value to ever lap run over the course of the year, that’s something Sam views as highly valued among competitors.  It is not enough to merely start each race, but finishing these races competitively is where the real value is and should be” Foose continued.
