While other racing series are winding down their seasons, the Skeeber Flobs Kettle Corn Pro Serie will be coming to life with a new schedule and fun events planned for the fall season.

The schedule will be a throwback to the heyday of the now NASCAR Xfinity Series, featuring races at historic venues such as South Boston Speedway, Rockingham Speedway and the latest addition to the iRacing track offering: Myrtle Beach Speedway.  This historic venues will be matched with newer tracks to the series such as Iowa Speedway and Kentucky Speedway for a well balanced schedule that features the tracks of yesterday and today.

The Skeeber Flobs Kettle Corn Pro Series will use the NASCAR K&N Pro Series Chevy Impala, fixed setups and limited fuel.  The series will adopt a few additional regulations such as pit road limits (more to be decided as the series opener nears).

“When you look back at the Xfinity Series history, you see many smaller venues that held races until as recently as the early 2000s, those are the places the Xfinity Series has outgrown but we have not forgotten” said ASRS President Jim Foose.  “Places like Myrtle Beach, IRP, South Boston and Rockingham built the then Busch Series into a national tour.  Other tracks that we have available to us that previously held those races are Gateway, Lanier, Milwaukee, Oxford Plains, and Road Atlanta.  These were all happening places for many years and my goal is to bring awareness that these tracks are historical landmarks and that they aren’t that far removed from having the big shows and I plan to do that by providing a racing series that hits these places and plays on that tradition.  Some of my favorite races growing up were the Busch and Truck Series races at tracks off the beaten path, and my very first NASCAR national touring race was at a track that only the trucks raced on in Mansfield, Ohio”.

Wednesday nights will see the Dirt Racing Series on track for the summer months before the dirt side will take a break for the fall.  “Wednesday nights are our short track night, we’ve done an okay job on these races in the past but this time around we have to promote these races a little more and get the word out about what we have to offer.  Some of the most exciting races we’ve run in the 16 year history of this league have been on the short tracks and I plan to add a few more to that list this fall” stated Foose.
