Debaro Notches First ASR Victory at Iowa!
The old adage of “build it and they will come” was true in the cornfields of Iowa, first for baseball and again for motorsports when the Iowa Speedway opened in 2006, a staple of the ASR Tweedcast Truck Series since 2009, Iowa has become the action track of the tour.
Anthony Debaro had a perfect race on paper, starting first and finishing first, leading all but 12 laps during the green flag pit stop cycle. Debaro mastered Iowa so well that he lapped all but the top seven finishers. Championship leader Andy Warren (2nd), Chicagoland winner AJ Crews (3rd), Christopher Bouchard (4th) and Allan Young (5th) completed the top five after 125 green flag laps.
Warren continues to hold the championship lead, extending the leads this week to 26 points over Harley Wegman. The Tweedcast Truck Series heads South to Texas Motor Speedway next week for 125 miles around The Great American Speedway.
