Heither Tames Darlington to Score First ASR Win!

Darlington Raceway is the kind of track that rewards those who save tires and track position is paramount at the 1.366 Mile egg shaped oval, usually. Blake Heither started 17th and raced his way to the top 10 just a short time into the 125 Mile race. When the leaders touched late in the going, the seas parted and Heither found his way to the lead in the closing laps. Holding off a late race charge from Jordan Harnish, Heither tamed Darlington. Jordan Harnish (2nd), Harley Wegman (3rd), Allan Young (4th) and AJ Crews (5th) completed the top five.

The Championship standings had a little shake up, as the top two in points were involved in incidents relegating championship leader Kris Gibeau to a 12th place finish and Andy Warren to an 18th place finish.
