(CLEVELAND, OH) It’s been said that good things come in threes and later this spring the drivers of the American Sim Racing Series will have three opportunities to take home a little cash!
The Twitchy Race Reports Triple Crown Series will mark the official debut of dirt racing for ASRS, as the first round is scheduled for May 4th at Volusia Speedway. From there, the drivers head north to sprint car country and Williams Grove Speedway in Pennsylvania. The third and final round will see the “World’s Greatest Dirt Track” host the epic season finale.
Drivers will compete in 50 lap races utilizing the 358 Pro Late Model and fixed iRacing setups. A $100 purse has been sponsored by Twitchy Race Reports for the three race series. Each race will pay $25 iRacing credits to the race winner with an additional $25 bonus available to a driver who completes the Twitchy Race Reports Triple Crown. If no driver sweeps the three races, the $25 bonus will be awarded to the driver that earns the most points over the three races.
“I can’t think of a better way to kick off the ASRS Dirt Racing Series than this and I am happy that Jared Mogard and Twitchy Race Reports felt the same way, putting up the cash to make this even more special” said Jim Foose, ASRS President. “We have three very different race tracks and each will present a unique challenge to our drivers”.
After the triple crown, a short break is scheduled as dirt racing will move to Wednesday nights beginning in June.
