Travis Wright Wins at Talladega!
Travis Wright entered the Grand National Series at Talladega with a reputation of a short track ace, but that changed as the checkered flag flew. Wright raced his way through the field from 15th on the starting grid and avoided trouble just past half-way as the race’s lone caution knocked out a handful of contenders. Wright battled door to door with Barrett Bishop coming to the checkered flag. Bishop (2nd), Jason Pick (3rd), Christian Brannon (4th) and Danny Rodgers (5th) completed the top five finishers.
Barrett Bishop holds the championship lead by 26 points over Allan Young as the Grand National Series heads to Chicagoland Speedway next Wednesday.
