It was a very rough start with multiple yellows to start the race involving several drivers including Series Point Leader Danny Rodgers who was involved in an incident early on. It wasn’t until lap 35 that the field got a restart and saw its first long run going 23 laps before the yellow flew again. The first half of the race seen Ty Hester in his #36 dominate the race leading most of it.
The second half of the race saw a short run to start it. The leader Hester and Brad Cross made some contact sending the #36 around. The race would continue its yellow caution filled pace throughout the second half all the way to the end.
The race saw Brad Cross dominate the rest of the race after the incident with the #36 Truck. Ty would drive back through the field to get up to 2nd and challenge Brad for the Win late in the race.
The final lap seen the anticipated short track style racing take place with a good old bump and run for the win. Ty Hester would get the lead out of turn two on the final lap passing Cross. Cross would go into turn 3 coming to the checkers and give Ty a bump back and was able to get back by for the Win. The contact sent Ty spinning which caused 3rd and 4th place runners Jim Foose and John Kennedy to have to avoid them.
Both Foose and Kennedy would do just that and would beat and bang to the finish line battling for the runner up spot. John Kennedy would get the spot edging out Foose.
