Trucks Going Full Time in 2023! #Back2Trucks

Published On: October 3rd, 2022

(CLEVELAND, OH) The Truck Series is back full time at ASR after three years of sharing Tuesday nights! With 27 points paying races, the Truck Series is growing while allowing drivers to have personal time throughout the season.

The 27 race schedule includes the return of South Boston Speedway, the .4 mile Virginia short track returns to the schedule for the first time since 2013. Other venues returning for 2023 are California’s Auto Club Speedway, Kansas Speedway, Darlington Raceway, Charlotte Motor Speedway and Michigan International Speedway. While those tracks are all over one mile in length the series remains committed to the short track roots of the Truck Series and will include stops at Iowa Speedway, North Wilkesboro Speedway, Martinsville Speedway, Bristol Motor Speedway (both dirt and concrete), Richmond Raceway, Rockingham Speedway, Nashville Fairgrounds, The Milwaukee Mile and Phoenix Raceway.

A four week “Summer Vacation” is part of the schedule for the first time and is set to allow drivers a chance to vacation and spend time with family during the most popular vacation time of the year.

One track that remains on the schedule that will see a dramatic facelift for 2023 is Atlanta Motor Speedway which was reconfigured prior to 2022 and released by iRacing.com after the 2022 ASR Truck Series visit to the 1.54 mile quad oval, making the 2023 stop at Atlanta the first on the new configuration.

For the first time since 2019, the ASR Truck Series opens the season at Daytona International Speedway home of the season opener from 2005-2019. The tight pack style racing at Daytona always provides an action packed 150 mile race and the 2023 season opener will be no different.

Homestead-Miami Speedway will host the Season Finale, a place it held on the schedule through the 2019 season. The Florida intermediate track is another event that takes it’s rightful spot on the schedule and is likely to provide a “Game 7 Moment” as the drivers conclude the 27 race schedule in late October (a move made to provide free time to spend with family for the Halloween holiday).
