(CLEVELAND, OH) The Championship Four drivers were set last week at ISM Raceway as the Sim Marketing Solutions Cup Series heads to the season finale at Homestead-Miami Speedway.
Statistically speaking the odds on favorite is Jared Mogard, the 28 year old driver from Minnesota. But, Mogard’s dominance has been limited lately as the driver of the #00 Chevrolet has not visited Victory Lane since the end of August at Darlington Raceway.
The hottest driver in the Sim Marketing Solutions Cup Series is Mitch Brown, who picked up two wins in the last three races. The 25 year old is the youngest of the drivers in the Championship 4. Brown is no stranger to the Final 4, reaching the Championship round of last year’s Sam Maxwell Customs Truck Series but coming up just short of taking the top prize when he finished second to Mogard.
The oldest driver in the Final 4 is Kelsy Rogers at 30, by only a few days. The driver of the #35 is in his rookie ASRS campaign and has proved to be a worthy competitor. Rogers failed to win a Sim Marketing Solutions Cup Series race thus far but has seven top 5 finishes and nine top 10s in 15 events entered, 14 of which he took the green flag.
The last of the four championship contenders is Jarred Haggerty, also 30 and the driver of the #6 has failed to reach victory lane during the Sim Marketing Solutions Cup Series 2019 campaign but Haggerty has been hot lately, scoring a Sam Maxwell Customs Truck Series victory at Talladega and being half a lap from winning the Sim Marketing Solutions Cup Series event at the same track before an ill-timed push from behind sent Haggerty spinning in front of the field
The Championship Four all have different stories and the Homestead-Miami Speedway is set to host it’s final championship finale event for the Sim Marketing Solutions Cup Series. With much on the line, the four drivers are sure to put on a great battle.
The race will be broadcasted live on 3 Wide TV on Tuesday, October 29th at 9:00PM Eastern.
