(CLEVELAND, OH) The ASRS Home Tracks will return in 2019 and will feature the dirt slinging Super Late Models and UMP Modifieds, along with the asphalt Super Late Models in the first half of the year, which features 20 events; 10 dirt races featuring the Super Late Model and UMP Modifieds and 10 asphalt Super Late Model races.

The combination of dirt and asphalt cars racing in the Home Tracks Series is nothing new, but running them bi-weekly opposite of each other is a new format for 2019.  “We like to use the Home Tracks Series as our training ground for new members and having 12 weeks of dirt and then 12 weeks of asphalt racing makes it very hard for new guys to get experience during those seasons because maybe they aren’t really interested in doing the dirt, so mixing up the schedule a bit is a good thing and it gives us more dirt races and a better variety for our drivers” said Jim Foose, ASRS President.  “It’s almost a throwback to when we shared a night with the USA Series in the mid-2000’s, we’d race one week and the next we could take off or we could run the other series if we wanted to and it was alot of fun”.

2019 won’t be the first time the asphalt Super Late Models ran bi-weekly as the series did in 2016, even splitting the schedule with the Pro Series late in the year.

Kokomo Speedway joins the dirt side of things as the newest track to join the Home Tracks Series, while Langley Speedway will return on the asphalt side.

UMP Modified races will be run in Late Afternoon lighting, while the Dirt Super Late Models will race under the lights.  The UMP Modifieds will compete in 40 lap feature events, while the Dirt Super Late Models will race 50 laps each week. The event format will include hotlaps, qualifying and a feature event.  Asphalt Super Late Models will feature 75-100 lap feature events regularly and will race at various times of day.
