Kirkwood Transportation Kicks Off December Dirt Week Championship Prize

(CLEVELAND, OH) Kirkwood Transportation has joined the American Sim Racing Series as a championship prize sponsor for the Inaugural December Dirt Week event set to run December 12-14th at iRacing’s Lanier National Speedway dirt track.

“I’ve known Todd (Kirkwood) for many years, we’ve raced together and have partnered on several projects over the years. He wanted to give the drivers an incentive to race the entire six races that make up December Dirt Week” said ASRS President Jim Foose.

Kirkwood put up the first $25 for the driver earning the most points in five of the six events.  A driver’s worst finish (or one DNS) will be dropped from the final tally.  Drivers receive points based on finishing position with the Winner receiving 15 points, 2nd place receiving 10 points, third 9 and down to a single point awarded for all drivers finishing outside of the top 10.  No bonus points will be awarded for leading laps.  In the event of a tie for the championship; the number of wins will be the first tie-breaker, with the sixth event finish being the second tie-breaker.
