Pro Series Gets Green Light Early!

(CLEVELAND, OH) The ASRS Pro Series will get an early kick off, as the series will run a short five race warm-up season before taking the green flag in January, 2017.  The Pro Series was recently announced as the first portion of the Wednesday night short track plus program that ASRS will be running in 2017, where a different series will occupy Wednesday nights for the 12 week iRacing seasons, rotating through cars and tracks.

Dirt cars are expected to join the line-up which already has has confirmed the Pro Series (National Series Impala) and Super Late Model Tour to each run 9-10 races each.

The first Pro Series race will launch September 28th at Richmond International Raceway.  Races at Kansas Speedway, South Boston Speedway, Homestead-Miami Speedway and Five Flags Speedway will fill out the schedule, which will crown a champion November 30th.

The Pro Series will allow for 32 car starting fields and will utilize fixed setups, 60% fuel and realistic weather.  A tire rule has not been announced, but series officials mentioned the possibility of a tire limit being enforced in the series.
