(Lakeland, FL) It’s said that those who walk through the fire emerge stronger and in the case of Jim Foose, he came out stronger and faster!

Under the lights of the Central Florida speedplant the ASRS Super Truck Series pounded the pavement and showed that the 3/4 mile USA International Speedway is fast and competitive. Shawn Musick picked up the pole position and was joined by the #55 of Scott Williamson on the front row. Musick would jump to the lead early on, but the #33 would slip coming off turn 2 and spin allowing last week’s Bristol winner, Foose, to take the lead. Collin Penn would take the lead for 7 laps as Foose pitted for tires before Foose would take the lead the and lead rest of the way except a brief period when Musick reassumed the lead during a round of pit stops.

In all the race saw very close competition, Foose was able to pull out to a large lead in the end as Musick was slowed by damage from the early incident. With Foose taking his second win of the season, Musick was second followed by AJ McCall in third, Scott Williamson fourth and Karson Aube fifth in his return to ASRS competition.

With Foose not eligible for championship points, Eric Bannenberg assumes the points lead by eight points over Sam Collum.

Next week the ASRS Super Truck Series will head to Iowa Speedway before wrapping up the season at Charlotte Motor Speedway on February 2nd.
