Tweedcast Digital Creations Truck Series – Playoffs Drivers Race #1 Recap
Chicagoland Speedway – The Playoffs Begin
The 2025 Tweedcast Playoffs roared to life under the stars of the Illinois sky at the Chicagoland Speedway, and it was nothing short of a perfect night for AJ Crews. Starting from the pole, Crews only surrendered the lead during the green-flag pit cycle and dominated the rest, pacing 80 of 84 laps. He earned the maximum points haul by leading a lap, leading the most laps, fastest lap, and the win to kick off his playoff run in style.
Behind him, Andy Warren in playoff form, finished runner-up and added a lap-led bonus to his tally. Allan Young showed his elite playoff poise with a strong 3rd-place run, gathering a lap-led bonus as well, after starting 6th. Joey Lamm rounded out the top five, notching his second straight top-five finish and building momentum at just the right time.
Playoff Notables:
Harley Wegman scored his 9th straight top 10 of 2025, finishing 7th.
Jamie Moore continued his late-season turnaround with an 8th-place finish.
Jim Foose logged a 9th-place run, his 9th top 10 of the 2025 campaign.
Jake & Jordan Morris both finished inside the top 12, moving themselves into the top 10 in points.
Jason Pick, Ryan Strunk, and Dale Weiser had tough nights, leaving Chicagoland 10th, 11th, and 12th in the standings.
The 84-lap race ran caution free, stretching green flag runs to over 40 laps. Drivers were forced to manage worn tires while running inches from the wall, a true playoff pressure cooker demanding both focus and patience.
Next Up: New Hampshire Motor Speedway – “The Magic Mile.”
Crews rides playoff momentum, but Warren, Young, and a surging Lamm are right in the hunt as the field tightens.
