The race see eight caution flag periods for thirty-one laps with only two leaders and one lead change. Qualifying seen a bit of an “upset” happen as Kris Titus would put his #25 Maxxed Out Motorsports ride on the pole of the event with Jonathan Holstein 2nd, Alex Giese 3rd, Jared Mogard 4th, and Robby Baskins rounded out the top 5. The race saw a nice green run in the middle stages of the event before having a caution filled period during the last forty laps of the race. Mogard would have to fend off Tom Giannini on the last handful of restarts and would do just that. When the checkers flew it would be Mogard making a statement in his return to action to grab his 17th career Win with the ASRS league and his first of the 2017 SMC Truck Series.

We caught up with Mogard and he had this to say following the win “We had a good truck and got to the lead early and never looked back. We could have gone without the last 5 or so restarts but were able to fend off challenges from the #33 and #41 there to grab the Win. Just got to thank all my sponsors RHRswag.com, Twitchy Race Reports, Mountain Dew, Pepsi/Captain Morgan, and of course Maxxed Out Motorsports for the awesome equipment to compete in weekly.”
