(Mechanicsburg, PA) Thursday night saw 35 drivers scheduled to go for a shot at the 24 car starting field for Race #2 of the TRR Triple Crown. Brad Cross looked to keep the sweep bonus in play with others looking to claim the checkers and make it a pay day to the point leader after next week’s event. Three heat races taking the top 6 to the feature kicked off the night’s festivities.  Following the heats, a B-Main taking the top 6 finishers to the feature set the 24 car starting grid.

Heat 2 also saw the pole sitter cruise to the win as Devin Serra grabbed heat 2 with Zac Bozanich going from 4th to finish 2nd, Chad Finley started outside row 4 to finish in 3rd, Jason Stewart 4th, Nick Coffman came from last to finish 5th, and Corey Finley slide back from his 2nd starting spot to hang on to the final transfer spot finishing 6th. As for the B-Main it would see nine cars go for one of the six possible transfer spots with three drivers going home. At the end of the 20 lap event it would see Tim Knott grab the win with John Kennedy going from 6th to finish 2nd, Jesse Curry 3rd, Casey Cupp 7th to finish 4th, Allan Young went 8th to finish 5th, and the final starting spot in tonight’s feature event went to Scott Smith.

The feature rolled onto the track for 50 laps under the lights.  There were seven yellows for nineteen laps with only two lead changes. It would be Alex Ciambrone and Devin Serra bringing the field to green with Josh Walker 3rd, Kris Titus 4th, and Brad Cross rolling off 5th. The race would see Josh Walker go from his 3rd starting spot to grab the lead. He would lead forty-one of the fifty laps.

The final restart on a green, white, checkered finish to the end it would see Walker make the only mistake of the evening allowing Brad Cross to throw a slide job in turns 3 and 4 coming to the white flag. There would be a yellow shortly after as there was a big multi-car wreck in turn 3. The race ended under yellow with Brad Cross claiming the Win and another $25 dollars as his hopes for the TRR Triple Crown are still in tacked. Josh Walker 2nd, Devin Serra 3rd, Andrew Cummins went from 12th to finish 4th, and Jesse Curry went from 21st to round out the top 5 finishing 5th.
