(CLEVELAND, OH) The American Sim Racing Series has a problem that many leagues dream of.  There are too many drivers who want to be a part of the ASRS Sam Maxwell Customs Truck Series that league officials have added a Sunday night Truck Series designed around the idea of developing talent for the upper racing divisions of ASRS.

The new Sportsman Truck Series will compete on the same tracks as the Sam Maxwell Customs Truck Series for the most part.  A 16 race schedule is planned to race bi-weekly on Sunday nights.  The schedule will feature an event at Five Flags Speedway, a track that has never hosted a Sam Maxwell Customs Truck Series events.

  • Past Grand National, Pro Series and Truck Series champions will be ineligible to compete in the series.
