(CLEVELAND, OH) The Pro Series, which came into existence in 2012 and has run off and on since in various capacities, using different cars and different tracks.  For 2017, the Pro Series will be on track first.

The new 2017 plan for Wednesday nights has been slightly revised to include 12 week series, one of which may include two bi-weekly six race championships that will include dirt and asphalt racing, and crown an overall champion.

For now, we know the Pro Series will be back on track with a new schedule, quite different than years past when the series was based on the short tracks or in 2014 when it was built around the Cup Series.  The 2017 slate now includes four short tracks, two 1.5 mile tri-ovals, two totally different mile tracks, and one super speedway.  The Pro Series will run nine races due to the Christmas holiday.

“The Pro Series has provided us with many great championship battles and this schedule gives us an opportunity to build on the history of the series and the league and showcase our drivers on a diverse mix of tracks, the only thing missing is a road course and a dirt track” stated Jim Foose.  “Our team met with many drivers in the league and the road course was decided against for now, but the dirt track that was an intriguing conversation and will continue to be”.

“The new 12 race segments for Wednesday nights should help us with our attendance and keep the championship battles close, plus we aren’t crossing over iRacing seasons, and like 2016 we aren’t racing on Week 13, so it simplifies things like setups and track conditions for our drivers”.
