(MILWAUKEE, WI) The Milwaukee Mile is deep in tradition and has been home to the Camping World Truck Series for many years (2005-2009 and 2012-2014) but has fallen off the schedule a few times over the past few years.  The famed mile long track was back on the 2016 schedule as the trucks went back to their roots.

Justin Vaughn turned the fastest lap in qualifying and was joined by his brother Jamie Vaughn on the front row, as the the two sought their first ASRS wins.

Caution flew on lap 16 as the #44 of Eric Bannenberg was involved in a spin.  Just after the restart, the night’s biggest incident took place on the front stretch and collected the trucks of Justin Vaughn, Shawn Musick, Matt Vaade and Eric Bannenberg.

Racing resumed before the sixth and final caution flew on lap 60 when Justin Vaughn was again involved in an incident on the track.  The green flew once again on lap 64 and the race went green to the end.  Jamie Vaughn took the lead but he had company at the front as Jim Foose brought his #42 to the rear bumper of the #19 Razorback Professional Tools Silverado as the two battled for the lead.  Foose would take the lead on lap 66 before Vaughn would take the lead back on lap 68.

The two battled bumper to bumper and at times door to door for the final 32 laps as they fought through lapped traffic.  Foose mounted a charge in finale 10 laps but came up short at the checkered flag.

Jamie Vaughn would score his first ASRS win with Foose trailing in second.  Robby Baskins was third after struggling early on, Jason Linder was fourth with Joe Johnson rounding out the top five.

Robby Baskins remains atop the championship standings, leading Jim Foose by 20 points after five events.  The Camping World Truck Series takes a two week hiatus before storming into America’s Heartland where the high speeds meets the high groove and high banks of the Kansas Speedway on May 3rd.
